The Story of Fade...Part 2
I have finally finished the rest of the fashion sketch layouts for my new design journal! Yay. I am really excited about this one because I am really looking forward to making a few of these designs for myself. Right now I am actually getting started on a version of the patchwork infinity scarf in the second to last sketch. Next on the list for the journal are the tech flats so I will be glued to the computer for a while trying to finish all of those, and then I will be back on the job hunt. :-)

The Story of Fade...Part 1
This past week I have been working quite diligently on putting together a new section to my portfolio. I wanted to put together something that would showcase some of my accessories as well as work on my sketching skills, which have been sadly out of practice over the last few years. I also wanted to put together a collection that was a little different from the way I was taught to design. Instead of working with an over generalized theme I decided to create a collection around a character and design more as a costume designer would, having the clothes develop as the character evolves. So I wrote a little story kind of a sci-fi fairytale, which is not really all that important to the collection other than for mood, and dispersed lines from it throughout the portfolio. Here is the first segment of the portfolio which tells the origin story of our little heroine, Fade.
